Prof. Edward Chan will soon be serving in a new position this month as the Professor, Department of Applied Social Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).
PolyU has the largest number of students in Hong Kong and is a progressive university with the vision to excel in professional education, applied research and partnership for the betterment of Hong Kong, the nation and the world. He’s excited to work in a new environment, make new friends, while continue his commitment to the prevention of family violence through the development of high-impact and socially relevant research.
Being recognised as an outstanding scholar, he was awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme by the Research Grant Council, Hong Kong, in 2016. He’s honoured serving at the Board of the AVA and is grateful knowing so many good people here.
