What Is CSKE?

CSKE is a membership organization for the dissemination of scientific work; a novel publisher. 

Who Owns CSKE?

CSKE is owned and operated by a Board of Directors of Academy of Violence and Abuse. The present board was self-appointed. Future boards will be elected annually by the membership. 

What Does CSKE Do?

CSKE publishes scientific work on a website after peer review and editing. The work may be in any format including text, audio and video, and of any reasonable    length. CSKE enrolls members who pay reasonable dues. Members have access to the published work. Non-members may access the work for reasonable fees. CSKE employs a manager, editors and support staff.Scientific publication is too costly and rewards large publishing firms but not. 

Who Fostered CSKE?

CSKE has been fostered by the Academy on Violence and Abuse (AVA), the Raymond E. Helfer Society and the Physicians’ Special Interest Group for Child Abuse (SIGCA-MD). The researchers and practitioners from these groups are in charge of CSKE at present, but researchers and practitioners with other scientific interests are welcome.

What Is Its Structure?

Authors and peer reviewers are rewarded with periods of free membership. CSKE employs a manager, editors and support staff. 

Who May Join CSKE?

Anyone may join CSKE. The initiation fee of $100 is discounted to $50 for members of the fostering organizations and another $25 for early joiners. Annual dues of $25 are waived for authors of accepted work (four years / accepted article). Authors and peer reviewers are rewarded with periods of free membership.
