Member Highlight: Tova Lewin, BA, AVA Scholar

Encouraged by Shira Berkowitz, Tova applied for the AVA scholars program in 2020 and was mentored by Randell Alexander, MD. Currently, Tova is a research assistant working with Dr. Anat Talmon in The Trauma Group, affiliated with the Department of Social Work at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Department of Psychology at Stanford University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has professional experience with youth at risk, sexual abuse and exploitation and domestic violence. Tova currently focuses her research on intrafamilial violence and abuse.
