AVA Board Director F. David Schneider, MD, MSPH mentored multiple research projects addressing ACEs and violence presented at the 53rd Annual Meeting of NAPCRG

AVA Board Director F. David Schneider, MD, MSPH, mentored a number of residents and medical students, on their research related to ACEs or violence using the CDC’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System presented at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) held November 21-November 25, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia, the largest primary care research meeting of its kind. These included:

· Unsafe Firearm Storage and Childhood Adversity: Findings from a Nationally Representative U.S. Sample

· Association between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and HPV-related Cancers

· Gender Diversity, Sexual Orientation, Mental Health, and Suicide Attempts in Massachusetts and Texas from 2016-2023

· The Association of Adverse Childhood Experiences with Lung and Colorectal Cancer Screenings in Hispanic Adults

· From Trauma to Disability
