AVA mourns the loss of our former Board member, AVA Scholar, and friend, Nora Montalvo-Liendo, who passed away on July 22, 2026. Nora's dedication to advancing knowledge and evidence-based and culturally agile clinical practice for survivors of domestic violence is just a part of her legacy. She was a mentor to many, and an inspiration to us all. We will miss her. We send thoughts of comfort during this time of bereavement to her family, friends, and colleagues at Texas A&M College of Nursing and beyond.
