Like our wonderful colleague, the late Dr. Nora Montalvo-Liendo, Dr. Christine (Chrissie) Forke combines rigorous scholarship with meaningful leadership, dedicated mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those affected by violence and abuse.
She fully embodies the spirit of this award, which recognizes an exceptional AVA Scholar who has made significant contributions to advancing research on the prevention, recognition, and treatment of the health effects of violence and abuse while demonstrating outstanding leadership that promotes safer families, workplaces, and communities.
