Mike Nowlin, MSSA, LISW-S
Mike Nowlin, MSSA, LISW-S has thirty years’ experience in the child welfare, behavioral health, and international development sectors. He is the Director of Operations at the Institute for Human Services (IHS) in Columbus, OH where he oversees daily operations and collaborates on child maltreatment policy initiatives. Mike co-authored an Issues in Brief on Youth on Sex Offender Registries. He previously served as the Executive Director at Hagar International’s Cambodia and USA offices, serving survivors of gender-based violence and human trafficking. Earlier in his career, Mike was Associate Director of Performance Improvement at one of Ohio’s largest public child welfare agencies. BA in Psychology and Sociology—Hope College; MS in Social Administration—Case Western Reserve University. Post-graduate programs on Trauma and Recovery (Harvard University), Human Services Management (The Ohio State University) and Leadership (Vineyard Leadership Institute).
