Presenting AVA’s new Regional Academies for increasing community trauma/resilience awareness and ongoing commitment to address violence and abuse. Dr. Felitti begins with an overview of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study findings and current developments. Biological pathways underlying the associations between childhood adversity/trauma and long-term health and behavior are reviewed. Current approaches addressing interpersonal violence across the lifespan are covered. Mobilizing leaders and communities is discussed by those who have done it.
