Steven Tam, MD

Steven Tam, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Program in Geriatrics, Department of Internal Medicine at University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He serves as Geriatrician at the Elder Abuse Forensic Center of Orange County.

Dr. Tam graduated from medical school from the University of California, San Diego. He completed an internal medicine residency program at Scripps Green Hospital and went on to do a Geriatrics fellowship at UCSD, and a Geriatric Neurology/Dementia fellowship at UCSD/VA. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Program in Geriatrics, Department of Internal Medicine at UC Irvine. As a geriatrician working with the Elder Abuse Forensic Center of Orange County, he works with an interdisciplinary team involving law enforcement, Adult Protective Services, the District Attorney's office, ombudsmen and other agencies to review and evaluate complex cases of elder abuse. Dr. Tam also has taught and lectured on the subject to medical and legal professionals in different settings.
